2nd YEAR STUDENTS TURN INTO JOURNALISTS

Last March, 2^nd Year students from groups 2ºA and 2º E turned into journalists. They were working in groups for some weeks in a project called “High school news” regarding events and/or teachers’ achievements in sport competitions such as an Andalusian Badminton Tournament where our P.E. teacher won three important medals.

First, they prepared questions for the interview. Then, students interviewed different people by using English as the instrumental language and teachers also practised their language skills. Finally, they wrote a newspaper article about an important event at school and decided some headlines for the piece of news. Before that, they had learned specific vocabulary related to Unit 2 “In the News”.

The result was spectacular!!!
